Has Vanessa Paradis got a new man in her life since splitting from Johnny Depp? Reports suggest that the French actress has become close to the ex-lover of France's former first lady, Carla Bruni.

Vanessa was apparently set up with French musician Benjamin Biolay by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and the pair have already reportedly recorded a duet together.

The Joe Le Taxi singer split from 49-year-old Pirates Of the Caribbean star Johnny in June after 14 years together but looks to have moved on with muso Benjamin after the pair were spotted having dinner together.

A source told Metro: "They're the same age and have similar backgrounds in music, so Karl was keen for them to meet."

Meanwhile, Johnny - who has been linked to actress Amber Heard after meeting on the set of their film, Rum Diary - has bought a £2.7million mansion in LA for Vanessa and their two children, Lily Rose and Jack.

The Mediterranean-style home on the exclusive Mulholland Drive boasts five bedrooms, a swimming pool and a hot tub.
