Wilshere assisted both goals in the reserve team’s 2-0 win at Barnet’s Underhil Stadium as he edges closer to making his first competitive appearance in 16 months.

The club's new number 10 played at the Hawthorns against West Brom last week and could be in line for a return to the first-team's squad away at Norwich City next Saturday.

Sagna last played against the Canaries when he broke his leg in the 3-3 Premier League draw in May but lasted for 61 minutes against the Royals' second string.

His injury sustained versus Norwich was the second fibula fracture that he has suffered in the space of just a year.
