EXCLUSIVE: Kings Of Leon Bassist Jared Followill Releases 'You're Lost' With Nick Brown Of Mona (EXCLUSIVE)

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Can A King Of Leon Do It On His Own?

'Sex on Fire' singers Kings of Leon have taken on the world music scene and won.

Their fourth studio album, 'Only By The Night', released in 2008, became the UK's third-biggest-selling album of 2008 and went platinum in the US.

The band have sold over 11 million records worldwide and in 2010 they scooped Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Rock Song for 'Use Somebody'.

Now, bassist Jared Followill has taken some time out from working with his family to record an EP with Nick Brown of Mona, under the band name of Smoke & Jackal.

"Coming together just worked," says Followill. "I think it's because we took such an easy approach to it, we didn't bring any egos to it. We just talked about each other's ideas, neither one of us got our feelings hurt. It just worked."

Can he stay on his musical throne without his fellow Kings? Listen to the track in the player above.

Smoke & Jackal's six-track collection, EP1, recorded in Nashville, is released on 15 October.
