It may be cold, it may be wet and it may be getting dark at 6 o'clock but there a few things that aren't so bad about autumn.

One is that you can take loads of awesome, colourful pictures, as a number of our readers and staff have done - which you can see in the slideshow below.

You can see pictures of plants of deep reds and green, incredible sunsets and misty mornings, mixed with the occasional stag or spider web.

However, be warned, it's gloomily grey and misty this week with rain and frosts drawing in around the country - and the weekend's not expected to be much better.
