WATCH: Heskey Scores Twice As Subject Of A-League Player Cam

Emile Heskey's soaring popularity in Australia with the Newcastle Jets saw the former England international emerge as the subject of the player cam facility Friday. And he scored twice.

Once adopted by Sky Sports in their earlier years of the red button service, Heskey followed on from another recent A-League arrival, Sydney FC's Alessandro del Piero when the Jets hosted Melbourne Victory on Friday. He even scored a bicycle kick!

Heskey has had an auspicious start to life with the Jets

The former Aston Villa striker made it four goals in four to fare better than former Liverpool strike partner Michael Owen did when he was trailed for 90 minutes nearly 11 years ago.

Owen was followed for the entirety of Liverpool's December 2001 fixture at home to Fulham as Sky anticipated he would score his 100th goal for the club. However the game ended 0-0.

A statement prior to Heskey's two-goal performance read: "Heskey Cam gives you it all: one camera, one hero; every pass, every run, everything Heskey does on the pitch, you'll see it first with the Heskey Cam, the dedicated broadcast providing a rare insight into what makes Heskey so good."
