Coleen Rooney Opts To Have Baby Number 2 At NHS Hospital - Despite Her Wealth

She has all the riches and privileges you'd expect for one of the country's most famous footballer's wives, but Coleen Rooney is determined to stay down-to-earth – so has booked into an NHS hospital to have her second child next May.

Even though she could afford posh private health care, Coleen, 26, - wife of England and Manchester United star Wayne - will return to the NHS hospital where son Kai was born three years ago today.

She wants to show her support for NHS staff by choosing Liverpool Women's Hospital again.

A source told the Mirror: "Coleen's birthing experience with Kai was plain sailing and she absolutely loved the staff.

"She is in a fortunate position where she could afford to have five-star treatment in a private hospital.

"But there was never any question in her mind about where she would return to have a little brother or sister for Kai.

"Wayne and Coleen regularly visit Alder Hey to see sick children and do lots to help the hospital.

"They are down-to-earth working class kids who appreciate how important the NHS work is."

Coleen and Wayne, 27, have a strong connection to the NHS. Coleen's adopted sister Rosie McLoughlin is treated for rare brain disorder Rett syndrome at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
