Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli adorns the cover of all Time Magazine editions outside of the United States in the publication's latest issue.
Balotelli is the second footballer to front the magazine this year after Barcelona's Lionel Messi. But whereas Messi remains the best player in the world, Balotelli has scored just twice for City this season and is yet to register a league goal.
The feature, predictably titled 'Why Always Mario?', says the "Manchester City and Italy striker Mario Balotelli has the eyes of the footballing world on him. But it's not always his remarkable skills with the ball that keep fans and detractors enthralled."
The 23-year-old was bafflingly shortlisted for the Ballon d'Or despite his performances in the calendar year not resembling his displays for City in 2011.
