As if One Direction needed any more confirmation that the entire nation is obsessed with them, they've gone and landed themselves a simultaenous number one single and album.
And as the boys appeared on Radio 1 yesterday to hear their chart positions confirmed, Louis Tomlinson clearly had a feeling they were onto a winner with their single 'Little Things' and album 'Take Me Home', sporting a t-shirt with a beaming smile on it.

Louis and the rest of the lads had a nice day themselves after toppling Robbie Williams from the top spots and fending off competition from the likes of the Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart and Zayn's girlfriend's band Little Mix to do the chart double.

As they left Radio 1 HQ, Liam couldn't help but brag about the band's success, making a number one sign with his finger for the hordes of fans and photographers.

They even had a slap on the back from their boss Simon Cowell, who tweeted his congratulations from LA, where he is currently working on the US version of 'The X Factor'.
He wrote: "Massive congrats to the one d boys for having the number one single and album in the uk. Could not be happier for you."
