  • EastEnders' Charlie Brooks became the fourth Queen of the Jungle when she beat former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts to win 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!' after an action packed series.

  • Yo-yo dieter Natalie Cassidy unveiled her latest weight loss in the pages of Closer magazine after dropping a stone and a half. After previously shrinking to just 7st 12lb in 2007 and then regaining the weight, this time the ex-'EastEnder' has vowed to keep the weight off.

  • Teenage girls across the world were nursing broken hearts after One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles begun dating US country singer Taylor Swift. After many whispers, the pair went public with their relationship during a romantic stroll in New York's Central Park and have been pretty much inseparable since.

  • Rob Kardashian and Rita Ora's whirlwind romance came to a messy end amid rumours she had cheated on him. Rob tweeted about an ex having cheated on him with '20 dudes' before later deleting the offending tweets. He then went on to say he 'never mentioned Rita'. So was she a cheater or not? Hmmm.

  • After a series marred by controversies and low ratings, James Arthur was crowned winner of 'The X Factor', ahead of Jahmene Douglas in second place and Christopher Maloney in third. James went on to hit the top spot with his winner's single 'Impossible'.

  • Ahead of the 'X Factor' final, there were rumours third placed Christopher Maloney had been axed from the show after turning up to rehearsals drunk and being abusive to fellow contestants. While he claimed he didn't turn up to the finale because of a sore throat, Carolynne Poole spoke out against him, claiming he had called her a 'c**t' before storming out. Who knows what to believe?

  • After a rumoured romance with Leona Lewis, Liam Payne reunited with his ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer, who jetted to New York to support him as he performed with the rest of One Direction at Madison Square Garden.

  • Anne Hathaway was left 'devastated' after she flashed her undercarriage at photographers at the New York premiere of 'Les Miserables' and the pictures made the press. A stark warning about the dangers of not wearing underwear there.

  • A number one single wasn't the only thing James Arthur bagged in December - he also snared himself a celebrity girlfriend in the form of 'Made In Chelsea' star Kimberley Garner who he was spotted on a date with little over a week after his 'X Factor' win.

  • There was heartache for Peter Andre who sadly lost his 54-year-old brother Andrew after a long battle with cancer.

  • Helen Flanagan caused outrage when she tweeted a picture of herself with a gun to her head, just days after 20 children and six adults were murdered during the Sandy Hook massacre in America. Branded 'ignorant' and 'insensitive', the tearful star made an appearance on 'Daybreak' to apologise for her actions.

  • Former 'EastEnders' star and infamous ex-cocaine addict Daniella Westbrook made a shocking confession during an appearance on a celebrity edition of 'The Jeremy Kyle Show' - that she'd taken the drug whilst giving birth to her first child.

  • Despite not always topping the judges' leaderboard, Louis Smith claimed victory in the final of 'Strictly Come Dancing', beating off competition from Kimberley Walsh, Denise Van Outen and Dani Harmer. We're sure the topless dance routine may have helped...
