David and Victoria Beckham are apparently splashing out on a luxury Christmas holiday.

Soccer star David and former Spice Girl Victoria have booked 11 nights at the plush One&Only Reethi Rah resort in the Maldives, the Sun reported.

The pair are said to be staying in the resort's priciest suite and have booked three other lavish suites to accommodate their brood.

David, Victoria and their four children - sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, seven-year-old Cruz and baby daughter Harper - flew to the Maldives this weekend then arrived at the hotel by private plane.

A source told the newspaper: "It's the best resort in the Maldives and they are staying in the most expensive rooms."
