As country piles go, this one takes some beating.

The Grade-II listed Georgian country house, with five bedrooms, three reception rooms and sweeping lawns sits on the grounds of the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk. And one day, Royal baby, all this will be yours.

The Queen reportedly plans to hand over Anmer Hall as a gift to The Duchess Of Cambridge and Prince William as the couple prepare to welcome their first child. It was previously leased by the Duke and Duchess of Kent until 1990, and rented by the Prince of Wales' friend Hugh van Cutsem.

The property is not available for another three years

But it won't be until Kate's bump is a three-year-old toddler that the royal couple will be able to escape to the country bolt-hole, because the property is leased until March 2017 to businessman James Everett.

Everett, and Buckingham Palace, would not comment on the future of the property.

The couple's main home, when not in Anglesey where William works, is Kensington Palace.

They currently live in a one-bedroom cottage in the grounds, but will move later this year into the renovated former apartment of Princess Margaret, which has five bedrooms.
