Paris Jackson In Hospital After Suicide Attempt
Michael Jackson's 15-year-old daughter Paris is in hospital following a reported suicide attempt.

Her mother, Debbie Rowe, confirmed to the American television show Entertainment Tonight that the teenager was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Fire Department responded to an emergency call at the Jackson family's compound in Calabasas early Wednesday morning.

The L.A. County Fire Department described the call they received as a 'possible overdose' and said a patient was taken to a hospital.

Fox News quotes a spokesperson from the emergency services as saying:

"We received a call at 1:27 in the morning. We transported a patient to the hospital at 1:47. We responded to a call of an overdose. That's the kind of call we got."

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Paris's mum said the teenager had 'a lot going on [lately]'.

Earlier on Wednesday, Paris had taken to Twitter to post a series of cryptic messages, pondering 'I wonder why tears are salty' and 'yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away, now it looks as though they're here to stay'.

The teenager has only recently been reunited with her mother, after Debbie signed away all parental rights to her two children with Michael - Paris and Prince - in 2001.

Since Michael's death in 2009, Paris and Debbie had been forming a relationship, and had recently been photographed together celebrating the teen's 15th birthday.

Her mother's lawyer, Eric George, told FOX 411 that the family appreciated everyone's thoughts for Paris, but asked that their privacy be respected.
