Show bosses are investigating a vicious row between the twosome and fellow cast member Jasmin Walia, who ended up injured after the exchange, which happened during filming at James 'Arg' Argent's house last week.
It is thought the row started over Lucy's ex boyfriend Mario Falcone, but it soon escalated to the point where producers were forced to step in, and subsequently decided not to air the scenes in Sunday night's show.
A source told The Sun: “The row was getting out of hand and way beyond the usual handbags that go on on the show. A producer decided he had to act and dashed in to break it up.”
A spokesperson for 'TOWIE' has since confirmed that Lucy and Jessica will not be filming with the show until the issue is resolved.
“While our investigations continue, producers have informed Jessica and Lucy that they will not be filming," they said.
Sunday night's episode of 'TOWIE' saw Lucy's ex Mario finally admit he cheated on Lucy, during a chat with his mother.
While keeping quiet on her current suspension, a vindicated Lucy took to Twitter to say: "At last! Surely I just had the right to know! Anyways a great episode! Xx."
