Nintendo has revealed the first look at its new Mario Kart title for the Wii U, Mario Kart 8.
With HD graphics, typically fast-paced action and Nintendo's trademark charm it looks set to bring a much-needed boost to the ailing platform.
The game features 3D tracks in which players can race upside down while others travel above them on different routes.
Motorbikes make a reappearance after having been missing from Mario Kart 7.
The game will be released in Spring 2014.
The existence of the title was revealed earlier this year by Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata, but no details about the game were released until now.
Check back later for all the details.
