Essex Bowled Out For 20 By Lancashire In Lowest Score Since 1901 (VIDEO)

20 All Out

Essex were bowled out for just 20 by Lancashire in what is their lowest score since 1901.

Trailing Lancashire by 125 runs in the LV County Championship match at Chelmsford, Essex posted a pathetic resistance on day three as six players were dismissed for a duck.

Jaik Mickleburgh top scored with 10 for half of Essex's runs as Lancashire recorded an innings and 120-run victory.

Lancs veteran Glen Chapple took five for nine from 7.2 overs and Kyle Hogg posted four for 11, with captain James Foster run out.

Before Friday's humiliation, Essex's previous worst was 30 against Yorkshire in 1901.

Essex's score of 20 is also the lowest County Championship total since Essex bowled Surrey out for 14 in 1983.
