The next time your best mate cancels on you for the umpteenth time, or your boss nabs one of your ideas and presents it as his own, suppress that rage and replace it with empathy. They, my friends, might be suffering from the 'arsehole gene'.
This mockumentary by Eric Romero, brought to us by Laughingsquid, is brilliantly shot and explains why some people are 'utter bastards'. In it, Dr Marcus Ross - 'an old and clumsy cliche of a scientist' explains that it changes our perspective of how we should look at these people.
One of the best bits is Dr Baynes who questions whether all the 'demonised people in history were just sick people' and then goes on to name Emperor Nero, George Bush and Hitler. He then says, "No, not Hitler, he was just a sick fuck."
Romero has taken the joke further by setting up a British Arsehole Foundation which goes by the motto: "People always ask us why they should give us money. Our answer is always the same: 'Because Fuck You, That's Why'."
Even if the arsehole gene is just fictional (it is, by the way), it does go some way to brightening up our morning.
