Actress Rose Byrne made her screen debut back in 1994, but it wasn't until the Noughties that people started to sit up and take notice of the low-key beauty. Flicking through her filmography you'd be forgiven for forgetting she's been in some MAJOR blockbusters.

Nevertheless Rose is a Hollywood force to be reckoned with. While she may have slipped seamlessly under the radar in the past, her latest flick I Give It A Year (Byrne stars alongside the stunning Minnie Driver and Ricky Gervais' right-hand funny man Stephen Merchant) is tipped to be the next best British rom-com since Love Actually.

Many an actor will find fame and forget about their former dreams of becoming an academic, but not Rose. The actress attended the University of Sydney and didn't drop out.
