Girls Aloud Forget Festive Style At Jingle Bell Ball And Go Matching In Monochrome

What?Grils Aloud hit the red carpet AND the stage at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball at the weekend. The five-piece mega group decided against the expected matching Santa ensembles and instead played it cool in a stoney monochrome palette.

On the red carpet, Nadine and Cheryl looked like style twins in almost-identical LBD's and black court shoes. Sarah and Kimberley were also batting for the same fashion team as they stepped out in trousers and statement tops. Nicola, on the other hand, opted for a cream oversized tuxedo jacket and a shorter-than-short black skirt.

Later in the evening the girls ditched their red carpet looks, but stuck firmly to the black, grey and white colour scheme as they took to the stage. Strictly Come Dancingstar, Kimberley showed off her abs (again) as she slipped into a pair of high-waisted glittery trousers and a bandage-style crop top.

Nadine got her legs out in an impossibly short white bodycon, Sarah kept things simple in a glitzy black number and Cheryl (clearly the most urban member of the pop group) teamed a pair of harem pants with a sequin embellished vest.

Nicola dared to be different again, as she steered well clear of the figure-hugging outfits her fellow bandmates were sporting. The former redhead took a walk on the retro side in a pair of polkadot palazzo pants and a matching crop vest.

Verdict? There's no doubt these girls were hot to trot, but we have to admit we're a little disappointed they didn't opt for something a little more festive - think Mariah Carey next time ladies...
