How Rude! Emeli Sande Wins Two Brits, But Performs To An Empty Room

It was Emeli Sande's night at the Brits 2013. The singer picked up awards for Best British Female and Best British Album before she closed the show with an outstanding performance of her singles 'Crown' and 'Next To Me'. So - why were half of the A-list's tables empty by the time the Brit winner took to the stage?

The answer? After-parties. The likes of Jessie J and Mumford & Sons were there to congratulate Sande on her double-win, but they weren't prepared to hang around and support her in the finale. Not when Warner, Universal and Bacardi were hosting post-show events especially for the celebs to let their hair down.

That's not forgetting the inevitable outfit changes that were required before hitting the dancefloor (Jessie swapped her plunging black number for a white crop-top and maxi skirt) and the not-so-easy task of getting from the O2 back into central London. (After arriving over an hour late to last night's Brits, Team MyDaily can confirm that this journey is a nightmare).

However, is it fair that the after-parties got in the way of the awards ceremony itself? Emeli Sande was probably too delighted with her win to even notice the spare seats surrounding the stage, but as a guest at the show, the sudden get-up and go attitude? It looked plain rude.
