The fashion pack were seeing double at the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2013 show this morning, as pairs of models arrived on the catwalk from a block of escalators.
After a sea of monochrome stripes at Marc Jacobs' show in New York, he sent squares down the runway in Paris. Maxi dresses and trouser suits were given the cheque treatment in lemon, lime, tan and yet more black and white. The mod theme continued with crop tops, tiny pelmet skirts, kitten heels and beehives adorned with bow headbands, before a sparse, floral print and sparkly LBDs were introduced. If Mr Jacobs was hoping to take us back to the 60s for S/S, then this was mission accomplished.
