Graduate Fashion Week 2013: University Of East London

Fashion students from the University Of East London took their turn on the runway at Graduate Fashion Week and the collections were pure talent. Students experimented with print, pattern, machine cutting and texture proving that as well as vision, they've got serious technique.

Shay Malt's womenswear collection - a line of asymmetric two-piece ensembles that played with plaid, stripe and frill (complete with metallic headpieces!) was sharp, accessible and ready-to-wear.

Another lady turning heads with her collection was Jazz Gina Brar. The power pinks, the pastels, pleats and applique detailing revealed real craftsmanship.

As for the fellas of East London, graduate Charles Chambers showed us exactly how to do street wears. Not only were bikes THE accessory for his catwalk collection but his use of fluoro, the layering of jeans and leggings, the biker gloves and retro footwear confirm that he knows how to do urban-cool sport style.
