When Bad Things Happen To Good Women: Backing Dancer Husbands

We're not sure what it is but there seems to be a pattern in the fame game, a pattern which sees a whole host of women hooking up with their backing dancers. Just see Madonna and Cheryl Cole for the most recent examples. But while Madge nor Chez have taken the plunge and said "I do" to their tiny dancer boyfs there are plenty of celebs who totally did, and guess what? It didn't end well.

From Britney Spears' post-Kevin Federline meltdown, to Jennifer Lopez's string of disastrous relationships following her shotgun wedding to Cris Judd (remember him?) here's the aftermath which follows when bad things (read: men) happen to good women...

Who:Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd

When: 2001-02

What: Jenny from the block tied the knot with dancer Cris Judd in September 2001. The pair got engaged only a few months after Lopez broke off her three-year relationship with Sean "P Diddy" Coombs, then known as Puff Daddy. Just nine months later, however, the pair called it quits and filed for divorce. In 2013 - some 12 years since the couple splits - Cris spoke out saying their union, although totally enjoyable, was damaged by J-Lo's frantic workload, and lacked a certain level of closeness.

The aftermath: Just months after the C-Judd split. Jen met actor Ben Affleck on the set of Gigli, Bennifer was born and Mr Affleck popped the question that same year! Despite having a date set for the wedding, the couple broke it off blaming media attention (Affleck allegedly partied with Christian Slater and some lap dancers in Vancouver) for the breakdown of their showmance.

In March 2004, J-Lo had a minor role in the film Jersey Girl, alongside Affleck in which her character died within the first 15 minutes of the film. From the intense media scrutiny following the couple's breakup, it was noted that "they may need to put Lopez in a coffin on the poster if they want anyone to come". Harsh.

Following her breakup with Affleck in Jen started dating long-time friend
