Graduate Fashion Week 2013: De Montfort University

De Montfort University's graduate fashion show - where to begin? This class of students put out a mix of collections that were contemporary, creative and crazy-cool. Ones to watch for sure.

Front runners? Without a doubt Jade Wainwright for her stunning oriental-inspired collection - lavish layers, florals, kimono jackets, jumpsuits, oversized perspex accessories and knitted shoulder bags. It was bright, bursting with intricate detail and ultra-feminine.

In keeping with the can't-take-our-eyes-off-it theme, Kelly Frost's showed equal ability. Her womenswear might just be the kookiest line yet - think heavy on the plastic front, giant polka dots, synthetic furs and jelly shoes. Those who can, should.

Kim Phillips - all about the awesome outerwear showcased her collection of oversized waterproofs coats and bombers, jelly boots, patterned trousers (chevron, check, dip dye) and boxy tops. A highlight? The dog nose masks, dog fronted dresses AND the rosettes. Show-stopping.

In terms of knitwear talent? We met Naomi Lobley pre-show to talk through her catwalk pieces - each designed with innovative fabrics and patterns - yes that would be drinking straws and laminated detailing. Very cool.

All eyes on these stylish movers and shakers- see for yourselves...
