Oh we do love a good wedding! Spanish footballer Andres Iniesta wed long term partner Anna Ortiz over the weekend, in a beautiful ceremony in Altafulla, North East Spain. But while admiring the pictures this morning, we couldn't help but notice that this was far from your average footballer's wedding...
While there were a whole host of fellow footballers in attendance (so our Sports Desk assure us), we could see no outlandish, extravagant displays to speak of whatsoever - no grand arrival on horse-drawn carriage, no peacocks lining the aisle, no millions of gaudily-dressed bridesmaids, not even a single diamante in sight. (Whaaaaaaat?)
What we did see, was one very beautiful wedding dress, and one very happy newlywed couple. (Plus two glasses of red wine. Nice touch.)
The bride wore a stunning tiered lace halterneck gown, teamed with a 1920s style lace cap veil with floral applique, which was worn to the side - not dissimilar to the styles worn by both Kate Moss and Lily Allen when they said their vows.
Ahh, so pretty. Congratulations to the happy couple!
