London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2013: Burberry

Romantic, wistful and completely beautiful Burberry Prorsum's Autumn/Winter 2013 show bordered on theatre.

While Misty Miller sung an acoustic version of The Turtles' Happy Together - a FRow Rosie Huntington-Whiteley sang along - Edie Campbell was the first model to saunter down the runway in Kensington Gardens sporting new ebony locks.

Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss and, of course, Cara Delevingne followed each cooler than the next before the tempo changed, a screen at the end of the runway moved back and Tom Odell was at the piano accompanied by a gospel choir. It was sheer theatre.

But we must talk about the collection! Gold metal embellished almost every piece - it was a skinny belt here, a heart-shaped clasp there - and the palette was typically Burberry, soft nudes, sumptuous burgundies and sweet poppy red.

Everything was below the knee and, as if you needed further evidence, flats - specifically brogues - are the shoe of next season.
