A teenager was killed when his remote control helicopter hit him in the head and almost decapitated him.
Roman Pirozek, 19, was hit when a flying stunt went wrong and the model chopper slashed his head and neck.
Horrified witnesses said the victim was 'scalped' by the helicopter's's two-foot-long rotor blades as it fell to earth.
Paramedics tried to save his life but Roman was pronounced dead at the scene in Shore Parkway, in Brooklyn, New York.
Roman, who has posted YouTube videos of his flights, was apparently attempting an elaborate stunt at the time of his death.
According to witnesses, his father, who introduced him to the hobby, was among those who saw the tragedy.
Neighbours described Roman as a keen model flyer who was often seen in the area with his helicopter, reportedly made by Taiwanese company Align.
