Mum of the Year nominations are open!
Tesco's search for the most amazing mum is in full swing - with mum of three, Sara Cox launching the annual event.
Now in its seventh year, the competition will honour eight inspirational mums who have shone this year, and have done something amazing to help other people, as well as their own brood. The winners will be invited to a glittering, star-studded lunch to be awarded their prize.
Launching the event, Sara Cox, mum to Lola, Isaac and Renee, said:
'It's so important to celebrate our mums and make a fuss of them because they really deserve it - I certainly couldn't have got to where I am today without my own wonderful and supportive mum.
'There are millions of mums out there doing all these extraordinary things, struggling against the odds and facing challenges. If you know a mum who really deserves to be shown just how special she is, get nominating!'
Talking to us recently, Sara said her own family life was chaotic to say the least, but she wouldn't be without it:
'Day-to-day our life is complete and utter chaos, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's brilliantly busy and we're always on the go. If I'm at work, I'm knackered, if I'm at home all day, I'm knackered, but if I do a half day at work and a half day at home, the tiredness is off the scale. It's just non-stop.
'The minute I get home I pick up a potato peeler and start dinner, usually with all three of them hanging off me!'
