Andy Murray added the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award to his Wimbledon title on Sunday night.

The 26-year-old won by an unprecedented margin, as he polled 401,470 of the votes cast by the public ahead of British Lions full-back Leigh Halfpenny, who finished second with 65,913 votes, and racing great and 2010 winner Tony McCoy in third on 57,854.

Murray is the fifth Scot to receive the award after swimmer Ian Black, Formula One legend Jackie Stewart, distance runner Liz McColgan and track cyclist Sir Chris Hoy.
