Ellen Page has become the latest Hollywood star to come out.

The 'Juno', 'Inception' and 'X-Men' star used her speech at Friday's THRIVE Conference for LGBT youth in Las Vegas to express her determination not to hide or lie anymore, and that her coming out would prove a comfort for other young people.

She said: "I’m here today because I am gay… I am tired of hiding and I am tired of lying by omission. I suffered for years because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered and my relationships suffered.

"And I’m standing here today, with all of you, on the other side of all that pain."
