‘Coronation Street’ character Peter Barlow, played by Chris Gascoyne, hits the bottle in next week’s episodes when wife Carla drops a baby bombshell.
Peter, a recovering alcoholic, is currently having a steamy affair with Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) and to say he doesn’t take the baby news well is a bit of an understatement.

Things could also be getting worse for Peter later in the week, when Tina adds to his woes with her own pregnancy worries.
It’s been a stressful few weeks for Peter, whose affair with Tina has come close to being exposed on a number of occasions and the latest events push him over the edge and into the nearest pub.
Luckily pal Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is on hand to help out and taxi his mate back to Weatherfield.

‘Corrie’ will soon bid goodbye to Michelle Keegan, when the actress’s character is killed off later this year.
Michelle is keeping her plans for life after ‘Corrie’ under wraps, though it has been confirmed that the actress will be looking for new and exciting roles rather than taking part in the upcoming series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
