There's nothing like a host of celebrity engagements to make you feel as if you're going to die alone. We joke, we kid... Well, kind of.
With two Olsen sisters set to wed, alongside 1990s pop starlet Christina Aguilera and Olivia Palermo we're in for a treat when it comes to super-stylish wedding dresses in the coming months.
When it comes to celebrity engagements there are a few things you can always expect. Here's three of them...
1. Announcing they're soon-to-be wed in one of two ways:
a) Posting a ring picture on Twitter or Instagram with some kind of non-cryptic message or hashtag. We've noticed #engaged is particularly effective.
b) Not making an announcement but instead just being papped with a massive bit of bling on the ol' ring finger. Cue a huge media frenzy after which they definitely have EVERYONE's attention and have thus created the optimum conditions for an engagement announcement. It would, after all, be terrible if anyone missed it.
2. The bride-to-be to start wearing white in the run up to the big day so that journalists like us can write pieces about how she "already looks bridal".
3. Teasers on Twitter and Instagram about their venue, what they're wearing and even hints about when the big day will be. Also, if they're in a girl group you can bet your life there will be speculation over who the bridesmaids will be and if it's not their band members, accusations of a rift.
