CBeebies Land Coming To Alton Towers

CBeebies Land Coming To Alton Towers

On May 24, Alton Towers will be opening a brand new attraction - CBeebies Land, featuring all the channel's favourites (and for some long-suffering parents, least favourites). TV presenter Denise Van Outen has been enlisted to give families a sneak peek behind-the-scenes.

The five-acre attraction will play host to a range of well-known CBeebies residents, including Iggle Piggle, Mike The Knight and Tree Fu Tom, as well as old favourite Postman Pat. Their adventures will be brought to life through rides, immersive play areas and interactions with the characters.

CBeebies Land is designed for pre-schoolers and will promote the principle of learning through play. For instance, young visitors can learn about herbs and plants in Mr Bloom's Allotment, or get to grips with the five senses with Nina and the Neurons.

They can even help Postman Pat sort out his post, a game designed to help young children exercise their shape recognition skills.

The attraction is still under construction, with builders putting the finishing touches on the site before its May 24 opening. But in the meantime, TV personality Denise Van Outen will be going behind-the-scenes to find out what visitors can expect.

Mother-of-one Denise will feature in two more videos in the three-part series, test-driving the new attractions to give parents and families an advance glimpse at what will be on offer at the park.

Taking part in the series involved 'trading Essex glamour for a construction site', according to the 39-year-old West End star, who says she watches the kids' channel with her three-year-old daughter, Betsy.
