World Cup 2014: Coleen Rooney And Sons Kai And Klay Fly To Brazil To Watch Wayne Play For England

Coleen Rooney is flying her sons Kai and Klay to Brazil to watch their famous dad in World Cup action.

England star Wayne Rooney's wife posted a lovely smiley pic on Twitter as she and her boys sat on the plane, with the message: "We're off!! Come on England!!"

Coleen, 28, previously said she was going to stay at home, but has had second thoughts, saying: "I don't want the boys to grow up and say, 'How come you never took us to watch my dad play in the World Cup?'."

The 28-year-old England striker may not figure in the next World Cup campaign in four years' time at the age of 32, so Coleen is taking Kai, four, and one-year-old Klay to England's crucial second match against Uruguay in Sao Paulo on Thursday.

She said: "Klay hasn't got a clue, as he's too young, whereas Kai knows he's going, but I don't think he gets the importance of it being the World Cup and how big it is.

"He seems excited, even though he's not that into football."

The England team schedule means she and the boys might not even get to see Wayne, but she said: "At least he knows we're there and we're going to support him."
