Kelly Clarkson has been making us coo with the first adorable photo of her new baby, River Rose.
Shunning big bucks magazine deals, Kelly and husband Brandon Blackstock chose to share the first photo of their baby daughter on Twitter.
American singer Kelly uploaded the beautiful shot of River snoozing away in a classic red pram on Friday (June 20).
The caption accompanying the shot read:
"Here is our beautiful baby girl River Rose; 6lbs 6oz, 18 inches, and the greatest thing on the planet."
River was born on Thursday, June 12, and is the first baby for American Idol star Kelly, but is husband Brandon's third child. He is also dad to Savannah, 11, and Seth, 7.
Kelly announced River's arrival on Twitter with the ecstatic message: "Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!!"
Before River's arrival, Kelly said the couple had already decided a name – despite not knowing if they were having a boy or girl.
She told The Ellen Degeneres Show: "The baby's sex doesn't even matter because, honestly, the name we've picked, if it's a boy or a girl, it's the same name."
According to our baby name finder, River is a boy's name of Shakespearean origin. Rose is an English name meaning flower and is a popular shortening of Rosemary or Rosie.
