Prep time: 1 hour

You will need:

3 different sized iced cakes

Apricot jam

White Icing

Ribbon

2.5 biscuit cutter

STEP 1: Mount the cake

Glue together you tiers of cake using apricot jam.

STEP 2: Make the icing roses

Roll out the icing to a 0.5cm thickness. Cut out five circles from the icing using biscuit cutters. These should be about two inches in diameter. Then make an icing stem about 1.5 inches long. Apply some water to the stem and stick it along the diameter of one of the icing circles and roll it up.

STEP 3: Add the petals to the roses

Stick on another petal using a spot of water and roll it around the icing flower, pinching it in the middle. Add two more petals in the same way as the first one. Gently open the petals with a knife and chop off the stem. Continue making the roses in the same way until you have enough to decorate your cake.

STEP 4: Stick on the roses

Pipe a spot of icing onto each rose and stick them onto the layered cake.
