White on white may be one of this season's biggest trends but Katie's top-to-toe black ensemble by Michael Kors was completely classic.
Let's talk through her look: asymmetric chiffon top with ruffle detailing (all about the bare shoulder), tuxedo trousers and a sharp pink metallic stiletto paired with Tiffany & Co. drop earrings.

Lexus and The Weinstein Company have teamed up to present two films from up-and-coming directors Jon Goldman, Satsuki Okawa and Ken Ochiai exploring the 'Life is Amazing' theme.
Holmes was at last night's premiere to rub shoulders with the emerging talents and show her support for their latest short film productions. In between promoting her latest movie The Giver, which is released in the US 15 August, that is.
It was also revealed this week that the 35-year-old actress was almost cast for the role of Piper in Orange Is the New Black. We just can't see her in the orange prisoner's garb though.
Creator Jenji Kohan told E! News: "I'm a big fan of hers.
