Bendy Robot 'Lego' Bricks Can Build Themselves

Lego is one of life's great pleasures. Solid, dependable, honest.

Now someone has gone an invented a bendable robot brick which can potentially use itself to build itself.

So that's another childhood memory to add to the list of terrifying things we don't understand.

New Scientist reports how researchers at Harvard made the 'click-e-bricks', which are bendable but click into each other as readily as traditional building blocks.

The idea is eventually to develop bricks which can build themselves automatically, leading to robots which can develop structures on the fly.
