When Kim and Kanye West tied the knot yesterday there were a couple of noticeable absences. Jay Z and Beyonce didn't attend the wedding, following rumours Jay was actually set to be the best man.
The likes of John Legend, Vogue's Andre Leon Talley and rapper Common attended the lavish ceremony in Florence's Fort Belvedere, set on a hilltop overlooking the rooftops. Kim wed her man Kanye in a lace, long-sleeved Givenchy gown designed by close friend Riccardo Tisci.
But despite her absence, Beyonce was still keen to send her congratulations to the happy couple and did so on Instagram.
Queen Bey posted this picture from the couple's recent cover shoot with Vogue US and captioned it: "Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family".
So why was Bey a no show? Well word on the street (or should we say gossip sites) suggests that Mr and Mrs Carter were keen to avoid a showdown with designer Rachel Roy who has been linked to that Jay/Solange lift incident.
And of course, other celebs have been congratulating the newlyweds after their service yesterday, including Kelly Brook who shared this Kanye quote on Instagram. Brook said: "What Every Girl wants to hear! And how every Girl should be treated."
Kris Jenner, Kim's mum, was also left gushing at all the romance of the day and told E! News that she was "beyond bursting with happiness for Kim, Kanye and baby North.
"Such a magical, romantic wedding. I feel blessed to have my new son and his family as part of ours."
