When dad's not around to help with the lifting and carrying, it falls to the eldest to step up to the plate.
And so it was for big brother Brooklyn Beckham who took to his manly duties with ease as he carried his little sister Harper through an airport lounge.
As mum Victoria organised her brood into waiting cars at Heathrow Airport, Brooklyn, 14, took some of the strain from her by lending a strong pair of arms to one-year-old Harper, carrying her into a black SUV before the whole family drove home.
The family had been in LA enjoying the good weather at Six Flags theme park. Victoria had also taken the boys to a pottery class.
The mother-of-four was in good spirits after just a few days back in the place she called home for five years when David played for the Galaxy.
She tweeted: "Love being back in LA!! Working out in the sunshine with @TracyAnderson x vb".
