Cheryl Cole Stuns In Leather Miniskirt And Admits She Wanted To Keep Wedding Secret

Newlywed Cheryl Cole has admitted she would have preferred to keep her marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini quiet in an interview with Radio 1 DJ Greg James.

The former Girls Aloud singer arrived at the BBC studios in London on Thursday afternoon grinning from ear to ear before revealing more about her secret island wedding which saw her tie the knot with her French restaurateur beau after just three months of dating.

Dressed in a camel coloured, pleated leather miniskirt teamed with a simple sleeveless black top, oversized shades and white peep-toe heels Mrs Fernandez-Versini glowed all over.

Showing off her impressive tan, the 31-year-old waved to the crowd which had gathered to catch sight of her before she made her way inside.

Mid-interview the Geordie star was questioned over the secretive nature of her wedding. She only revealed it had taken place, by posting a picture of her sparkly engagement ring and wedding band on Instagram, after the news was allegedly leaked.

Turns out she'd rather have kept it on the down low.

"I would have actually kept it that way but unfortunately it was leaked," she said, adding: "But I'm glad it's out there."

Quickly moving on the star admitted she needed to take some time out from the music industry after the release of her third album A Million Lights.

"I needed to [have some time away from music] it gave us tome to recharge and I feel good going back into music.

"When I took time out I did have lots of private time. I went away and I partied with friends. I spent time with my sister - I have eleven nieces and nephews so there were lots of birthdays."
