We've always loved Claire Danes, but she's never really been the 'stand-out' red carpet style star.
That all changed at the 2014 Variety Power Of Women event held at Cipriani 42nd Street on Friday in New York.
The Homeland star looked incredible in her lilac Oscar de la Renta dress, which had us all reaching for that puffball dress we thought wouldn't see the light of day again.
Claire was being honoured at the bash for her work with the charity Afghan Hands, which aims to help Afghan widows gain independence and learn skills to allow them to earn good wages.
As she arrived at the bash, the 35-year-old looked very Carrie from Sex And The City with her trendy floral clutch, floaty white shawl and cool cutout heels.
She finished with a spot-on blow-dry, pretty drop earrings and bit of pink lippie.
The Power of Women event was organised by Variety magazine to celebrate the humanitarian efforts of women in the entertainment industry.
Ms Danes picked up Variety's Inspiration Impact Honourees nod along with Sarah Jessica Parker, who was also lauded for her charity work.
Claire was glowing and made the most of her rare red carpet appearance, as her biggest role is now playing mum to her 16-month-old son with Hugh Dancy, Cyrus.
She's definitely a yummy mummy in this purple-pleaser.
