Court Orders Son Not To Bad-Mouth Mum Online After Family Bust-Up

A 20-year-old man has been banned from bad-mouthing his mum on Facebook after appearing in court following a row at home over his computer usage.

Samuel Hinkin was up before magistrates after he kicked in a door and threatened to set fire to his mum's house after she took away his computer.

Mum Susan, 53, has since thrown her son out following his toddler-like tantrum.

Prosecutor Nia James told the hearing in Bridgend that Hinkin was 'not remorseful' for the damage he caused to his mum's house, but that he denied that he would have carried out his threat to torch the family home.

His solicitor David Sedgewick said that since the bust-up last Friday, Hinkin was homeless and that at least by being sent to prison 'some accommodation will be arranged for him'.

Sentencing, presiding magistrate John Viney ordered Hinkin not to contact his mum 'directly or indirectly' or to 'write anything derogatory about her on Facebook or Bebo'.

The Mirror reports he was jailed for six weeks after pleading guilty to criminal damage and possessing cannabis.
