'Crazy' Reese Witherspoon Told Police She Was Pregnant

She recently admitted the birth of her third child Tennessee made her lose her mind, and now Reese Witherspoon has revealed that she talked 'crazy' and claimed she was pregnant again when police stopped her and her husband last month.

Reese and Jim Toth were arrested after being pulled over for drunk driving.

The mum-of-three revealed on Good Morning America that she told officers 'crazy things' as she struggled to deal with the situation.

"I have no idea what I was saying that night," the 37-year-old confessed. "I saw him arresting my husband and I literally panicked. I said all kinds of crazy things. I told him I was pregnant. I'm not pregnant! I said crazy things."

The embarrassed star - who also reportedly uttered the celeb classic 'don't you know who I am?' to cops - said she was very sorry about the whole incident.

"You only hear me laughing because I had no idea what I was talking about and I am so sorry. I was so disrespectful to him. I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better," she said.

She said the whole episode had been the result of 'poor judgement' and that she should never have let Jim drive them home.

"It's one of those nights," she said. "We went out to dinner in Atlanta, had one too many glasses of wine. We thought we were fine to drive and we absolutely were not. And it's just completely unacceptable. And we are so sorry and embarrassed. And we know better.

"There were so many lessons learned. Absolutely. When a police officer tells you to stay in the car, you stay in the car," she said. "I think I've played a lawyer so many times in movies, I think I am a lawyer - and clearly I'm not a lawyer. So, I learned a lot."

She added that she was embarrassed to tell her two older children, Ava, 13, and Deacon, nine, about the incident, but said she had been back to see the Atlanta police to apologise to them.
