But it looked like she took a step back to adolescence as she headed out to Da Silvano in New York for lunch with a friend on Monday.
The underwear-as-outerwear look is acually straight from her her new River Island autumn collection.
And, as ever, of course Rihanna managed to make the look cool, by teaming it with army combats, an oversized denim shirt, white-framed sunnies, red lips, chunky gold jewellery and a beanie hat.
