Family's Heartbreak As Teen Daughter Dies In Car Crash Two Years After Brother's Death

A family whose 12-year-old son was killed by falling goalposts two years ago, have been further hit by tragedy after their 18-year-old daughter died in a car accident.

Casey Breese, 12, passed away when a metal goalpost fell on him while he was playing football in July, 2011. He had become tangled in the goal's netting and was crushed by the heavy frame falling down.

Now, his devastated parents, Shan and Nick Breese are said to be 'traumatised' after their daughter, Kelly Marie, died in a car crash.

The Mirror reports that the young woman was killed last night when her car collided with a tree near the family's home in Caersws, Wales.

A police spokesman told Wales Online they were investigating the circumstances of Kelly's tragic death.

"Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a single-vehicle fatal RTC (road traffic collision) that occurred at approx 9.30pm on Sunday October 13," the officer said.

"The car, a Vauxhall Corsa, collided with a tree on the B4568 road between Llanwnog and Aberhafesp.

"The emergency services worked together to try and save the casualty, but tragically the female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The family has been informed and are being supported at this time.

"Formal identification has yet to be carried out, but in order to prevent speculation, the family have agreed to name the woman - Kelly Marie Breese, 18 years old, from Caersws."
