The new mum has come under fire from Twitter users criticising her and boyfriend Jesse Wood's choice of name for their little boy - Rex Rayne.
The Daily Express reports that messages on the micro-blogging site included such insults as 'Did I just hear that Fearne Cotton has called her baby Rex? What's she had, a baby or a labrador?' and 'Fearne Cotton has given birth to a baby boy, Rex Rayne. Who the **** suggested that name, Scooby Doo?'
Fearne, who gave birth last week, ignored the cruel posts and instead tweeted her joy about her new son and the messages of support she has received since his birth.
Jesse's dad, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, also took to Twitter to share his delight at his grandson's arrival.
