Festival Footwear: The Best Shoes And Boots

Summer festivals are all we can think about right now. We've covered the fashion essentials - the head gear, the statement shades, the throw-on trends - and now it's time to talk footwear.

For obvious reasons you want your entire festival outfit to be comfortable and, ideally, waterproof. So let's cut to the chase here because we all know a good wellington boot is the ultimate bit of festival kit.

These monochrome Hunters are just one of the styles topping our current shopping wish-list...

Yes, wellies are a definite must but that's not to say you can't pack another option (especially if you're doing a full weekend gig).

Biker boots are on trend and you can pick up a pair from almost anywhere - though nothing says grungy-cool like these lace up Dr Martens (available at Topshop).

Team them with a playsuit, leather jacket and fringed cross-body bag and you're good to go.

Trainers (sliders, high tops, pumps) are another fail-proof option guaranteed to keep your feet happy. Perhaps leave your shiny new 'fashion' kicks at home though - they won't survive the mud or you'll end up losing them.

And given we've been seeing a lot of sunshine lately - how about going wild in a kooky flatform or gladiator sandal?

There's a style to suit every festival fiend so take a look at our edit below and check out what you can bag footwear wise before you go and party in a field...
