Five Foods You'll Be Eating This Autumn

Remember when sugar was the enemy? Well it's not anymore. *Gasp*. Not when Autumn/Winter 2013 food trends include cronuts, eclairs, jelly and marshmallows. Marie Antoinette, eat your heart out.

So forget the Atkins and the Dukan and check out the full list of foods we'll be chowing down on for the rest of the year. Oh and P.S. if you even think about eating a cake pop, you should give yourself a stern telling off. Sorry, we don't make the rules.

1. Rainbow jelly

If you're still eating normal jelly come September there's something wrong with you. Especially when Harrods are offering up a rainbow version of this tea party staple. With rainbow cakes all the rage in the US their jelly equivalent will be stocking our shelves.

2. Cronuts

We're not sure about you but the croissant-cum-donut sounds like our idea of heaven. AND you can get your hands on the super posh Harrods version, the dough-sant, soon!

3. Meringues

Meringue isn't just an addition to your strawberries and cream anymore. Oh no. It's time to start eating meringues on their own, French patisserie-frequenter style.

4. Marshmallows

These are the new macaroons. Thank goodness because we really weren't that keen on macaroons (though the rest of the world seemed to be). Already on the menu at swanky London restaurant, Delaunay, and The Connaught hotel. These pic 'n' mix favourites now come in rose petal, lavender, pistachio, vanilla and cinnamon *licks lips*.

5. Eclairs

Eclairs are back in Vogue. Not the ones your granny used to buy you when you were a child but super posh and ornately decorated ones.

In other food news we'll also be eating more chicken and raw fish (although hopefully not with all this sugar).
