Have Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Put Their Divorce Plans On Hold?

They're the celeb couple who brought the phrase 'conscious uncoupling' firmly into our vocabulary, but now it would seem that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are 'consciously re-coupling' - ie. their divorce plans look to be on hold.

The pair were spotted dining together, giggling and sharing a few flirty moments at California's Malibu Farm restaurant last week, with a fan sharing a candid snap of their outing on Instagram. They're apparently still living together and perhaps most tellingly, Gwyneth reportedly still wears her wedding ring.

The Mirror reports that they've halted divorce plans after announcing their split three months ago, as doing so has "cooled the pressure" on them.

The friend told the tabloid: "It's true they had problems but in the weirdest way this 'conscious uncoupling' situation has relieved the pressure on them.

"Gwyneth had ground rules about not immediately dating, respecting each other, keeping things happy for their two children and communicating throughout but it seems to have acted as a wake-up call.

"Chris still lives with her, they are amazingly lovey-dovey together and she still wears her wedding ring. They may have consciously uncoupled a few months ago – but they seem to be recoupling now. No one will be surprised if they get back together."

When the couple's split was announced via Gwyneth's lifestyle blog GOOP, she insisted in her post - titled 'Conscious Uncoupling': "'We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.

"We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been."

Continuing: "We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner. Love, Gwyneth & Chris.'

So, while it seems the pair are not nearly as "separate" as they suggested they'd become, could their renewed closeness be for the sake of 10-year-old daughter Apple and eight-year-old son Moses? The couple are yet to comment personally on the status of their relationship. Watch this space.
