Want lighter, shinier hair this summer? Of course you do. Before you reach for a bottle of hair dye however, you might want to hear this fashion designer's secret to getting healthy, glossy locks.
Yes, an ice cool beer with a wedge or lime or lemon is one of life's greatest pleasures, but these two ingredients can also do wonders for brightening hair. Yep, who'd have thought this drink could be good for you?
Designer Mollie Lichy revealed her top tip for "at-home ombre" to Huffington Post Style.
"To make my hair lighter and shinier in the summer, I put beer and lemon through it - just squeeze it all over," Lichy said.
However, go easy with the citrus fruit - it can have a powerful effect on your skin tone.
"You have to be careful with the lemon because it could discolour your skin in the sun," Lichy warned.
And if you find yourself with a few leftover beers, well... enjoy!
Booze isn't the only way to keep hair looking healthy, though. You can eat your way to a gorgeous, glossy mane with these high-nutrient and high-water content foods (a mix of protein, healthy fats, fruits and vegetables) too.
